The Housefull franchise has always worked well with the audience and with the third installment crossing Rs 100 crore in 12 days, it’s time for the producers to celebrate. This is Akshay’ Kumar’s second big draw at the box-office this year after the critical and commercial hit Airlift.
Despite the mixed reviews from the critics, this out and out slapstick featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmhukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri managed to strike a chord with the audience in no time. Sajid Nadidwala, the producer of the film is ecstatic about the numbers and is all set to put his money on Housefull 4 very soon. He told PTI, “It is a good franchise. Definitely we will be doing (Housefull 4) very soon.”

said that coming up with a concept for the fourth installment will not be a piece of cake and further said, “We will sit and talk about it. It will take time. There was a gap of nearly four years between Housefull 2 and 3. The script takes a lot of time. It is not an easy task to assemble everyone in one home, you need a strong reason for that. So, it is not an easy subject, it is difficult to make. It will take one, one-and-half years to begin.”
Having said that, the entire cast is very happy with the response the film is getting and they took to Twitter to thank the audience.
