Ahead of the release of the second season of Sacred Games, the makers of the show are making sure that the suspense and excitement do not die down. The latest clip introduces the “badass” women from Sacred Games 2. The clip starts with Surveen Chawla aka Jojo threatening Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). “Parliament tere baap ka hoga Ganesh Gaitonde, par tujhe nahi pata ki mujhe ghanta farak nahi padta (The Parliament might be your dad’s, Ganesh Gaitonde, but you don’t know that I don’t care).” Surveen made a cameo in the first season, wherein we saw her being shot by Gaitonde. Season 2 will give us a peek into her past, and the relationship that she had with Gaitonde.
Next up we see Kalki Koechlin or Batya Abelman. Kalki is a new addition to the cast of Sacred Games. “I was born a conflict, Sartaj”, Kalki tells Saif Ali Khan. In one of the previous teasers, we saw Batya dressed in saffron robes, sitting on the floor in a whitewashed room. She gives spine-chilling advice about the ‘the end.’ Kalki says, “Don’t worry about the end. Wait for it.”
Just when the thrill heightens steps in Kusum Devi Yadav aka Amruta Subhash. With a commanding personality, she is one of the women who seems to turn Gaitonde’s life upside down. Last but not the least is Kanta Bai, a very important figure in Ganesh Gaitonde’s life. She is fearless, and asks Gaitonde to be “daring” if he wants to survive.
We can’t wait to see the character arcs of these women.
