The ‘Love Per Square Foot’ stars are here to guide you through Mumbai.
The city that never sleeps, the city of dreams - the monikers fly thick and fast when it comes to India’s financial capital, Mumbai. Thousands make their way to the city every day to pursue their dreams. While some achieve them, many don’t.
Mumbai, however, casts its spell on its inhabitants and has some unique features that one should know about before making their way into the city. Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar, stars of Love per Square Foot, the first Indian original movie to stream on Netflix, share a few such tips - because Bombai ready hona banta hai boss!
Here are some facts that one should know before making their way to Mumbai:
As we all know, the city has space issues - both in houses and in trains. People leave you alone - they are not bothered about what anyone else is doing. Bollywood is in the city’s heartbeat and bumping into a celebrity is not a big deal. Time howeveer, is not money here - thanks to the abominable traffic situation. And last not least, Mumbai never sleeps - the city works around the clock.
Love per Square Foot is set in Mumbai and revolves around a middle-class pair who dreams of a house of their own in the city some day. Sanjay Chaturvedi (Vicky Kaushal) and Karina D'Souza (Angira Dhar) work in the same bank. Sanjay and Karina accidentally end up together and decide to buy a house. All they demand is space in the city and the film explores their chemistry vis-a-vis the spatial politics.
Love per Square Foot is a rom-com produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Productions, directed by Anand Tiwari, and written by Tiwari, Asif Ali Beg, and Sumeet Vyas. Ratna Pathak Shah and Supriya Pathak are seen playing prominent roles in the film, alongside actor Raghubir Yadav.
