Amazon has unveiled the first look of its new original series Homecoming along with a short teaser. The psychological drama stars Julia Roberts in her first major TV role and is directed by Mr Robot creator, Sam Esmail. Homecoming is based on the popular podcast of the same name.

Podcast creators Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg are writing the series as well. According to the official synopsis, “Homecoming is a psychological thriller that centers on a caseworker at a secret government facility (Roberts) and a soldier eager to rejoin civilian life.”
The show also stars Sissy Spacek, Bobby Cannavale and Dermot Mulroney. Homecoming will premiere globally Friday, 2 November on Amazon Prime Video.
