The trailer of Criminal Justice, the upcoming web series on Hotstar, will send a shiver down your spine. Starring Vikrant Massey, Jackie Shroff, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupriya Goenka and Mita Vashisht in lead roles, the series is a remake of the acclaimed 2008 BBC show of the same name.

Vikrant plays Aditya, a cab driver who gives a lady a ride back home, only to get swayed by her beauty. An alcohol fuelled hook-up is the trigger to the tragedy that ensues. Aditya wakes up only to find the lady dead and blood on his hands. As usual, all evidence is against him, but he pleads innocence. The only problem is that Aditya can’t recall the events. In walks lawyer Pankaj Tripathi, who claims he can get Aditya out of prison but his ways are shady. Shroff plays Aditya’s dad in the series.
Hotstar had taken to twitter to announce that the series can be streamed from 5 April
