Streaming giant Netflix has released the first trailer for season 5 of its hit sci-fi series Black Mirror. The platform also revealed that the new season will drop on 5 June.
Black Mirror season 5 will consist of 3 original episodes written by series creator Charlie Brooker along with Annabel Jones. The new season’s cast includes Miley Cyrus, Avengers star Anthony Mackie, Sherlock-star Andrew Scott, Guardians of the Galaxy star Pom Klementieff, Topher Grace, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Damson Idris, Nicole Beharie, Angourie Rice, Madison Davenport and Ludi Lin.

The previous season of Black Mirror, season 4, aired all the way back in 2017. Last year Netflix released a one-time interactive special titled Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. The special episode allowed users to pick and choose how the story develops and culminates. Bandersnatch showcased new technology developed by Netflix.
Black Mirror is known for stories that touch on fears associated with technology in the present and near future.
