Happy Bhag Jaayegi star Ali Fazal has reason to celebrate. After a cameo in Furious 7, Ali has landed a full-fledged Hollywood role in the tentatively titled Victoria and Abdul. And he would be acting with none other than Hollywood royalty, Dame Judi Dench.
The film is based on the true story of the friendship between Queen Victoria and Abdul, a young clerk from India. Abdul eventually tutored the queen in Hindi and Urdu and became her close confidante and also her political advisor.
The film will be directed by Stephen Frears, who has directed movies like High Fidelity and the more recent Philomena. Fazal is of course super excited.

Ali will be next seen in Mudassar Aziz’s Happy Bhag Jayegi, alongside Abhay Deol, Diana Penty and Jimmy Shergill. Fazal will fly to London shortly after the release.
