2. Akshay Kumar Is Not Worried About ‘PadMan’-‘Padmavat’ Clash
Putting an end to unending speculations and endless controversies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat has got a release date at last. The film, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, will release on 25 January. It would be clashing at the box office with Akshay Kumar’s PadMan.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Viacom 18, the producers of Padmavat were anxious to release the film as soon as CBFC cleared it with a U/A certificate and a few modifications. Actor Akshay Kumar is hopeful that both the movies do well in the holiday weekend.
Padmavat, which missed its December 1 release date due to controversy over its plot, has been finally given a go ahead by the censor board. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently gave U/A certification along with some modifications and suggested to change its title to Padmavat.
