The much awaited teaser of the Sanjay Dutt biopic is here! It marks Hirani’s return to the screen after four years. Sanju is a biographical drama, written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film is based on the life of one of the most controversial actors of Bollywood - Sanjay Dutt, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying the titular role and is slated to hit the theatres on June 29.

2. Sri Reddy Reacts to Saroj Khan’s Comments on the Casting Couch
Speaking at a press conference recently, veteran choreographer Saroj Khan not only accepted the existence of the ‘casting couch’ in the film industry, but also defended it. The three time National Award winner, who has choreographed over 2000 songs in Hindi films, began her argument by stating that the casting couch was not a recent practice but has been going on from the beginning of time. Saroj Khan was responding to a question relating to Telugu actor Sri Reddy’s act of stripping to protest against the culture of the casting couch. Saroj Khan later issued an apology to CNN News18 for her statement. Sri Reddy reacted to Saroj Khan’s comments justifying the casting couch by saying, “I lost respect for you Saroj ma'am. Being an elder you should give a good path to young actresses. It is giving a wrong indication that you have to be a slave to producers.”

Ali Zafar was recently accused of sexual harassment by singer, Meesha Shafi, in light of the recent #MeToo movement. As allegation after allegation poured out from the members of the Pakistani entertainment industry, accusing Zafar of sexual misconduct, it seems like he is gaining support from his band mate, Kanza Munir.
Munir states that she was part of the jam session which Meesha Shafi referred to while accusing Zafar on a Pakistani news channel. She denies any unpleasant interaction that might’ve taken place between the two.
