The curtains are officially down for Comedy Nights with Kapil.
The show not only made us fall in love with all its characters but also with their signature phrases. Now, who doesn’t use ‘Babaji Ka Thullu’? Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Dolly ki Doli’ even took the copyright for this phrase, for one of the songs. That was the popularity of this epic show.
As the show rings in its last episode, we decided to brush up on our CNWK vocabulary. Here are eight of the best phrases that became the trademark of the show.
1. Babaji Ka Thullu
Is there anybody who hasn’t used this popular phrase from the show? The whole country got addicted to Bittoo’s signature style, Bollywood included.
2. Ittu Sa Tha
Yes, that was Daadi’s way of bonding with all young celebrities on the show. She knew every celebrity who appeared on the show jab se woh “ittu sa tha”.
3. Juice Me!
Gutthi’s hilarious rhymes, eccentric get-ups, her welcome song and her peculiar “Juice Me!” – Gutthi will go on to live forever.
4. Kaun Hai Yeh Aadmi?
We can’t seem to remember which celebrity this “TWANTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD HOT AND SEXY BUA” did not flirt with. She would flirt, they would reject and she would shout and say just this.
5. Ooooooooooo
It’s undoubtedly one of the best punchlines of the show and has made its way into our daily conversation. Palak’s arguments with Mr Sharma often left the audience in splits.
6. Paise ki Kami Nahi Hai
A servant-turned-billionaire, Ramu, made billions with just a pakodo ki dukaan and since then inke pass “paise ki kami nahi hai”.
7. Shagun ki Pappi
Daadi’s inescapable “Shagun ki Pappi” terrified the celebrities but definitely entertained the audience.
8. Thoko Taali
We cannot not mention the chief member of Bittoo Sharma’s family – Sidhu Paaji. The mandatory “thoko taali” cheered the Sharma family on and the audience too.
Thank you so much for making us laugh. Comedy Nights ke liye THOKO TAALI.
