1. Aamir’s ‘Dangal’ Becomes Highest Bollywood Grosser in Hong Kong
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's sports drama film Dangal is continuing its victory march at the box-office worldwide and has become the highest grossing Bollywood film in Hong Kong with a collection of 23.45 million Hong Kong dollars.
As confirmed by the film's spokesperson, Dangal has crossed the lifetime collection of Aamir's 2009 film 3 Idiots, which minted 23.41 million Kong Kong dollars in the country.
“The film released in 46 screens in Hong Kong and Macau which is four times more than the regular screen count for a Hindi mainstream release,” said Amrita Pandey, Vice President - Studios, Disney India.
2. Oscar Nominee ‘Newton’ Witnesses Healthy Jump at BO on Day 2
Rajkummar Rao’s Newton opened to rave reviews on Friday (22 September). The film managed to get Rs 96 lakhs on its opening day. But things have only improved for the Oscar-nominated film. According to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, Newton witnessed 162.5% growth on Saturday to collect Rs 2.52 cr!
It looks positive word of mouth and its Oscar announcement is only helping the film which has so far, minted Rs 3.48 crore at the box-office.
Newton, which has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 5-6 crore, is expected to continue its healthy run on Sunday (today) as well.
3. Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan & Mira Rajput at Ambani’s Bash
Nita Ambani held a bash for her friends at Antilla and B-Town celebrities turned up looking their absolute best. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Karan Johar and others were spotted at the event. Judwaa 2 actors, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, as well as, Haseena Parkar star, Shraddha Kapoor were present.

Everyone’s going coconuts over Jimikki Kammal, the catchy number from the Mohanlal-starrer Velipadinte Pusthakam.
While the original has already crossed over 20 million views, here’s another version that has the potential to overtake it. Jimikki Kammal featuring superstar, Mohanlal himself!
The song was shared by Mohanlal on his Facebook as he wrote, “The song that has got everybody dancing have made me too to take a few steps. Here’s my version of Jimikki Kammal with the participants of dance challenge, and team Velipadinte Pusthakam”.
