It Was Awful: Priyanka On the Church’s Refusal to Bury Her Granny

The church denied the permission because Pee Cee’s grandmother, a Christian, had married a Hindu

Priyanka Chopra’s grandmother’s last wish remained unfulfilled as the Church, where she was baptised, did not allow her burial. The actor called the entire ordeal “awful.”

The act of church was awful. But we should not concentrate on it. Rather we should look that we lost a family member.

The authorities at the St John Kumarakom Parish in Kerala refused to let the burial of Mary John Akhouri take place as she was married to a Hindu.

Hence, the 33-year-old actor’s grandmother had to be buried in an unkept graveyard in Kerala on Sunday.
