Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow Couldn’t Fix Marriage, Get Divorced

Both Chris and Gwyneth have denied any spousal support and will share joint custody of the children.

After over two years since they “consciously uncoupled”, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have reportedly reached a divorce settlement.

The couple was married for 11 years before officially filing for a divorce in 2015. They have two children together – Apple, 12 and Moses, 10 of whom they will share joint custody.

According to reports, Paltrow requested a default judgement to dissolve the marriage when the British rocker failed to respond to the initial divorce filing. Both of them have also given up spousal support.

Fans first learned of the trouble between the two when the Oscar winner posted a lengthy message on her website, Goop, about the conscious uncoupling.

The mother of two, in an interview recently said, “I think we are better as friends than we were married”.

Since their separation, the couple has maintained an amicable relationship. The Iron Man actress went on record to say, “It’s like we are still a family, just not a couple” to Marie Claire in April. Just last week, they celebrated their daughter Apple’s birthday together.

Since the split, Gwyneth Paltrow has been linked to ‘Glee’ creator Brad Falchuk. Chris Martin was linked to Jennifer Lawrence and is now reportedly with British actress Annabelle Wallis.
