Kaabil and Uri: The Surgical Strike star Yami Gautam received a special gift from worldwide action icon Jackie Chan while she was in China for the promotions of Kaabil, which recently released in that country. She was thrilled with the present, a traditional shawl.
I was surprised when I heard that Mr Chan had sent across a gift for me. I couldn’t meet him as I was still in India then shooting for ‘Bala’. "As kids, we have grown up seeing his movies and I personally have been a fan of his work. He's such an icon and a legend globally and I do hope to meet him in person soon," Yami added in a statement.
Yami and her Kaabil co-star Hrithik Roshan were in Beijing recently for promoting their film, and received an overwhelming response from all their fans and the audiences.
Hrithik even met Chan during his trip, and had posted photographs of their meeting on social media. “Meeting Jackie Chan was a revelation at so many levels. Incredible experience. Inspired. #kaabilinchina #ilovechina #china@jackiechan” he wrote in a post on Instagram.
Yami will next be seen in Bala alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar.
