Last weekend was rather eventful for desi girl Priyanka Chopra and her videsi fiance, Nick Jonas! To begin with, Nick Jonas arrived in Mumbai on Thursday (16 Aug) night with parents Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas. He was welcomed with loud cheers of "Welcome to India, Nick".
Later, Priyanka and Nick stepped out hand-in-hand for a date on Friday night. The grapevine called it a "pre-engagement dinner party" where their parents accompanied them too.
Nick and Priyanka sealed their relationship with a "roka" on Saturday (17 Aug). The paparazzi captured a priest making his way into PC’s house and that’s when the news was confirmed that somethings cooking! Later, PC and Nick's pics went viral on social media
PC chose a yellow Abu-Jani ensemble, while Nick wore a pristine white ‘kurta churidar’. Parineeti Chopra also chose dress-up in yellow. Mr. & Mrs. Jonas too opted for Indian wear and they looked quite cute, we must say.
Celebrities including Varun Dhawan, Gigi Hadid, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan and more congratulated the happy couple on social media. And then the couple partied the night away with friends and family at PC’s residence.
The Ambani’s were all smiles as they walked in, while Alia Bhatt gave millennials major dressing up goals in a stylish black outfit. Arpita Khan Sharma, Siddharth Roy Kapoor & Parineeti Chopra made it to the bash as well.
On Sunday (18 Aug) the couple visited the St Catherine’s Orphanage in Mumbai where the Chopra and Jonas families accompanied them too. Nick even posted a video of Priyanka dancing with one of the kids on Instagram.
Nick and family left for NY on Sunday night.
