Sunday, 8 December, was a big night for Ranveer Singh as Gully Boy took home nine wins at the Star Screen Awards 2019, including Best Film Popular and Best Director Popular. Judging by his antics at the show, the actor may have taken his award as Entertainer for the Year, a little too seriously.

Even Ranveer Is Blinded By Ranveer
Ranveer and Deepika arrived at the awards show twinning in black, with the latter debuting her new hair do. The paps outside the venue can be heard asking him to look in their direction, but with those shades on we wonder, could Baba see at all?
Ranveer Turns Director
In one clip that’s been floating around on social media, Ranveer goads Deepika and Kartik Aaryan to recreate their airport magic and dance to ‘Dheeme Dheeme’ from Pati Patni Aur Woh.
Ranveer joined the two on stage but Deepika got the last laugh because, as you can see, our boy couldn’t keep up.
When Sara Schooled Ranveer
That wasn’t the only instance Ranveer's antics backfired. He urged his Simmba co-star Sara Ali Khan to recreate the steps from ‘Aankh Maare’ only to realise he didn’t remember them at all. He tried to make up a few of his own, but Sara wouldn’t let him get away with it.

Of course, our Gully Boy took to the stage to rap for what we hope is the last time this year. Ranveer plays Kapil Dev in 83, which releases in March, so does that mean everyone’s going to have to duck from a Natraj shot for the whole of 2020?
