The onscreen couple Sridevi and Anil Kapoor made the hearts of Bollywood junkies flutter. They romanced each other on screen in films like Lamhe, Laadla, Judaai and Mr India. Fans were waiting with bated breath for the couple to reunite in a sequel of Mr. India.
Fate has now rendered the idea impossible with the megastar Sridevi’s sudden and untimely death on 24 February in Dubai.
We just have to make do with this last dance from her nephew, Mohit Marwah’s wedding - a video of which surfaced on the internet.
Anil Kapoor (who is also her brother-in-law) was seen dancing with Sridevi on Chittiya Kalliya, offering us one of the last glimpses of her grace.
Although earlier reports stated that Sridevi died due to a cardiac arrest, it has now been confirmed that the actor died due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness. Sridevi was with her husband in Dubai at the time of her death, where the family was attending Mohit Marwah’s wedding.
