Unlike several other big ticket films of 2018 that failed to make much of a splash at the box-office despite wielding star power, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s Simmba has had a roaring reception. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on day 5 and is expected to cross the Rs 200 crore milestone soon. So naturally, Bollywood came together to celebrate the huge success of this action drama.
Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Rohit Shetty, Sara Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Akshay Kumar were seen making their way to Karan Johar’s home to celebrate Simmba’s success.

At the trailer launch of Gully Boy on 9 January, Ranveer explains why. “Lakshmi (as in the Goddess of wealth) has come home. So she blessed us and we did that and it was a cute moment,” he told Pinkvilla.

The Rohit Shetty film, revolves around Sangram Bhalerao, a flamboyant cop, who’s in the trade for the money till he undergoes a change of heart after violence touches someone he loves.
Simmba has turned out to be Ranveer’s biggest opening till date, ahead of even Padmaavat which earned Rs 19 crore on day one. Simmba raked in Rs 20.72 crore on the first day.
