Shamita Shetty and Driver Abused, Slapped in Road Rage Incident

Actor Shamita Shetty was verbally abused and her driver roughed up in a road rage incident in Thane, Mumbai on Tuesday, 30 January around 1.30pm. It happened after a motorist, accompanied by two friends, rammed his car into Shamita’s.

According to Times of India, Shamita and her driver, Darshan Sawant, filed a complaint at the Rabodi police station against the three yet-to-be-identified men. Sawant, who was threatened and slapped by the men, has provided the police with their vehicle details.


A case has been registered under sections 279, 323, 504, 506, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal code. No one was injured in the incident, which took place near the Viviana Mall.
