Avengers: Endgame actor Scarlett Johansson has got engaged to Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost after two years of dating. The actor’s publicist Marcel Pariseau confirmed the news to Associated Press on 19 May.
The two met in 2006 when Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live. Jost was a writer on the show at the time. The duo made their debut as a couple in November 2017 and most recently attended the Avengers: Endgame premiere together in Los Angeles.
This will be the first marriage for Jost, while it will be Johansson's third. Johansson was married to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds between 2008 and 2010. She then tied the knot with French journalist Romain Dauriac – with whom she has a daughter Rose – in 2014, but the couple parted ways in September 2017.
People magazine had previously quoted a source saying that the couple had been contemplating marriage. “Scarlett and Colin are in love and share many of the same interests and the same sense of humour. Scarlett is very happy,” they said.
