Salman Khan is very busy promoting his upcoming film Bharat, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Recently, in an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Salman spoke about why he chose Bharat, his upcoming project Inshallah, and about having children.
“The film Bharat sees a son being separated from his father when he was just nine years old, and I visualised two old men standing together in the end, teary-eyed. The son has aged, and the father has is really old. This idea caught my attention”, Salman Khan said.
The actor is synonymous with Eid, as every year fans of Bhaijaan eagerly wait for this day when a film of his will hit the theatres. Asked if his film is an Eidi for his fans, Salman Khan told Mumbai Mirror, “It is a coincidence that quite a few of my films have released on Eid, giving people the chance to say that this particular day has been booked by me. Eid is a great day to release films as it is a holiday and people come in large numbers to see their favourite heroes on screen. Having said that, Dabangg 3 will release on Christmas and I have had films releasing on Diwali too.”
After Bharat, Salman will be seen collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Inshallah. “Whenever we (SLB and him) meet, there is an instant connect. We have a great equation, and our next film will be a sweet love story”, Salman added. The actor also praised Alia Bhatt (his co-star in Inshallah), saying nobody can take credit for her growth except her.
There have been a lot of speculations about Salman Khan’s relationship status, so when he was asked as to whether he wants children, Salman replied, “I want children, but I don’t want the mother. However, children do need their mothers.”
