Salman Khan’s appeal against the verdict of the Rajasthan High Court in the blackbuck poaching case is to be held in Jodhpur on 3 April.
The actor was convicted by the court last year for killing two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur in October 1998 while filming Hum Saath Saath Hai. Salman was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and fined Rs 10,000. He spent two nights in Jodhpur Central Jail before being released on bail. The co-accused in the case, actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were acquitted.
Salman Khan had filed an appeal in the sessions court against the High Court’s verdict on the blackbuck poaching case in February this year, but the hearing was postponed to 3 April.
