Speculation is rife that he is undergoing treatment there for a serious ailment despite Rishi Kapoor assuring that he’s only in America to go through tests for his well-being. Randhir Kapoor dismissed rumours about cancer and now daughter, Riddhima Kapoor too has spoken up about her father’s health.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, "He's fine, nothing to worry about. I was never worried anyway. He's just getting his routine tests done, like he said on Twitter, after so many years of wear and tear. He's getting everything done, so hoping for the best."
On 29 September, actor Rishi Kapoor tweeted that he was leaving for the US for “some medical treatment” and had urged his well wishers to not worry or speculate unnecessarily about the exact reason for his sudden absence from work.
On Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship with Alia Bhatta, Riddhima said, “I am happy if my brother is happy, and I am a very happy sister.”
