Following the All Indian Cine Workers Association's (AICWA) ban on collaboration with Pakistani artistes after 40 CRPF Jawans were killed in the deadly Pulwama attack last week, several reports have claimed that Salman Khan has dropped a song sung by Atif Aslam - in his upcoming film, Notebook. A large part of the shoot for the movie, which has been produced by Salman Khan Films, was shot in Kashmir in October and November last year.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) on 18 February had announced a ban on Pakistani artistes in the country, saying they will resort to strong action against anyone who collaborates with talent from Pakistan.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the track that was sung by Atif Aslam for Notebook, is to be re-recorded in a few days. The Notebook team also announced that it would also be contributing Rs 22 lakh to the families of the jawans who were martyred in the attack.

The Pakistani singer had signed several hit playback numbers for Salman Khan movies like - Main Agar from Tubelight, Dil Diyan Gallan from Tiger Zinda Hai and Selfish from Race 3 .

Another single - Baarishein - was also taken down by T-Series from YouTube, following the AICWA ban. Several of his videos, as well as those of Pakistani artiste Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, were also taken down from Youtube by T-Series after the Raj Thackeray-led MNS reportedly asked music companies to pull out songs and videos by Pakistani artistes, NDTV reported.
