After much speculation surrounding Rishi Kapoor’s stint in New York where he’s undergoing medical treatment, the actor seems to be doing well. He’s had a host of visitors to keep his spirits up, including son Ranbir and his girlfriend Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Sonali Bendre and Anupam Kher.
Father and son recently had a chance meeting with legendary actor Robert De Niro in what Kapoor called a “wow moment”. “Simplicity and super stardom. I realized I have been such a bloody brat. Cannot get over his demeanor. Thank you Bob!” he tweeted in awe.
Kapoor earlier posted a clip of himself strolling down Manhattan’s Madison Avenue “Kher-free” with actor and friend Anupam Kher.
Actors Priyanka Chopra and Sonali Bendre also visited Rishi Kapoor in New York. Bendre, who is in the city undergoing treatment for cancer, was accompanied by her husband Goldie Behl and sister-in-law Srishty Behl.
Kapoor’s wife Neetu Kapoor shared pictures of the visitors on her Instagram account, with a caption that was gushing with affection.
PeeCee seemed to concur in an Instagram post of her own, saying that their meeting had been all “laughter and smiles as always!”
While speculation is rife that the actor is in the U.S. seeking treatment for cancer, his brother Randhir Kapoor has denied the rumours, stating that his illness was yet to be diagnosed. “It’s not fair to speculate things just like that,” he said in an interview to Times of India.
