The countdown to the Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas wedding has begun. The bride-to-be had a gorgeous bridal shower with a guestlist that included Academy Award-winning actor Lupita Nyong’o and future brother-in-law Kevin Jonas.
But how did this fairytale all begin?
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chopra revealed that it was Nick Jonas who made the first move with a simple text. “He texted me. The first time was a text and just saying, ‘I think we should connect,’ and whatever and that’s how we started talking,” she said.
The Quantico star was attending an event in New York, where she also revealed what makes her relationship with Nick Jonas work. “Truly this is what worked for me, he has to be someone who respects you. By that, I don’t mean makes coffee for you, not that. But someone who respects the hard work you put into your life,” she said.
“Then everything is so easy because you give each other credit for your intelligence, you give each other the benefit of the doubt because you trust each other. There’s so much that comes out of that. I think don’t settle for less than that,” she added.
