Priya Prakash Varrier and Arbaaz Khan Shoot for ‘Sridevi Bungalow’

The viral ‘wink’ heroine from Malayalam cinema - Priya Prakash Varrier was spotted in Mumbai along with Arbaaz Khan shooting for the controversial film Sridevi Bungalow. This will be Priya’s Bollywood debut and the film is already facing controversy owing to its title.

In the film Sridevi Bungalow, Priya reportedly plays a lonely actor and the film’s teaser shows her death in a bathtub, which is similar to the way in which the popular actor Sridevi passed away last year due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai.

Arbaaz Khan, during the media event, was also spotted talking about his character in the film. He said that he plays himself. He also opened up about the controversy surrounding the film’s titled by clarifying that the makers had registered the name ‘Sridevi’s Bungalow’ much earlier. Priyanka Varrier too shared her experience of working with Arbaaz and other projects that she is looking forward to.

A few months back, the late actor Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor, had sent the makers of Sridevi Bungalow a legal notice. However, the director of the film, Prasanth Mambully, said that Sridevi is a common Indian name and that his film’s character also happens to be an actress.

For now it looks like the makers of Sridevi Bungalow have got past their legal hurdles and are back in action working on the film. Take a look at the photos from the sets of the film below:
