Aarambh, from the kitty of Baahubali writer Vijeyandra Prasad, premiered on Star Plus on 24 June.
The Quint spoke to Karthika Nair, who is making her Hindi television debut with the show. Nair plays Dravidian princess Devasena, a character that is similar to the ferocious warrior princess essayed by Anushka Shetty in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series.
The show, which chronicles the clash between the Aryan and Dravidian communities, has been directed by Goldie Behl and produced by Shristhi Arya. Aarambh also stars Rajniesh Duggall, Tarun Khanna, and veteran actress Tanuja.
