Karan Johar has never directed Deepika Padukone . . . not yet. For an advertising venture, Dharma 2.0 (a sub-section of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions that focusses primarily on advertisements) roped in Padmaavat actor Deepika Padukone for an untitled advertising project, and it is none other than filmmaker Karan Johar who is directing her. It is also the first time that Karan Johar will be directing an advertisement.
Deepika Padukone is not new to Dharma Productions. The actor has previously worked under the banner with director Ayan Mukerji on Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The film proved to be an enormous hit and it won’t be surprising if Karan Johar himself plans to direct Padukone for a film.
