Kangana Ranaut and Rekha were recently spotted bonding at an event in Mumbai. While Rekha arrived in an elegant golden Kanjeevaram sari, Kangana donned a black and gold one, which was reportedly a gift from the veteran actor.
Kangana presented Rekha with an award at the event. In her acceptance speech, Rekha was all praises for the Manikarnika actor. She called her a real-life Jhansi ki Rani and said, “If I had a daughter, she would be like Kangana.”
Sara Ali Khan, Asha Parekh, Bindu, Jaya Prada, Waheeda Rahman, Helen and choreographer Saroj Khan were among the other B’Town celebrities present at the event.
Kangana Ranaut plays Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which she has co-directed with Krish (Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi). The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Danny Denzongpa, Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta. It releases on 25 January.
