If you thought the Kangana Ranaut-Hrithik Roshan battle has died a natural death, think again. Kangana made that clear as she demanded a public apology from the Roshans in an interview with journalist Rajeev Masand.

Outspoken as always, Kangana talked about how Hrithik carefully created a chain of events to ruin her public image after their break-up.

He (Hrithik Roshan) prepped for two years to put me behind bars for having an affair with him. I wrote those mails to him two years back - why didn’t he go to cyber crime then? He stalked me, hacked into my account and wrote mails to himself, did dirty PR and went in circles to deliberately confuse people.

According to Kangana, the case hasn’t died down and she was in no mood to put up with any nonsense.

He claimed many things. He said there is an imposter. He failed to prove it. The cyber crime report is nil and proved that the alleged mail account had been closed years ago. His father claimed that he had stuff he would expose about me that would shock people. They couldn’t say anything. He slapped a notice saying I have caused great damage to him and his reputation because he was the “silly ex” referred to. He couldn’t prove that he was the “silly ex” I had spoken about. He couldn’t prove my affair was with someone else. You can’t just go about saying things like this.

Kangana also feels that the media has been doing a lopsided coverage of the controversy. No one has talked about the cyber crime report even though it has been out there. No one is questioning the actor.

He should be answering the questions. How can say he does not know someone who he has worked with for 7 years? If I am so horrible, why did he repeat me in his home production? If you care so much about your image, family life, children, don’t have an affair!

Kangana also said that she felt threatened while this episode unfolded and feared for her life. Innumerable industry people called her asking her to apologise to Hrithik.

Of course I was scared! Look at what the Malayalam actor (Dileep) did! These things happen.

“Hrithik and his father should apologise to me,” she said.

She also commented on the nepotism debate and said that it is a huge issue all over the country. She also felt that Saif Ali Khan’s apology and subsequent comment was a “redemption” of sorts.

When quizzed about the string of controversies pursuing her, Kangana denied that she was a victim - as Karan Johar had infamously said at an event.

I am anything but wronged. I have lived life my own way. I understand other people’s egos but they often forget about mine. As far back as I can remember, I have made a stand, protesting against lines crossed. I am not a doormat. My grandfather lived life on his own terms. I want to live my life on my own. And if I didn’t hesitate to rub my grandfather’s ego the wrong way, I wouldn’t hesitate to do it with anyone else.

Referring to the Koffee with Karan controversy, Kangana said that her experience of working with Karan Johar had been bad but she couldn’t protest back then because she didn’t have the leverage. Now that she has, she was perhaps indulging in a bout of “public sulking”.

I am also making smart business choices and so have the liberty of public sulking. I am not that impulsive really. I have only alienated people I wanted to!

Well, Kangana has made one thing very clear - the Bollywood fraternity wasn’t going to gag her. More power to her!
