Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas attended a film lecture at the Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Mumbai, on 30 March 2018. The creator of Inception, Interstellar and Dunkrik also met actor and director Kamal Haasan at the 'Reframing the Future of Film' event.
“Met Mr Christopher Nolan. Apologized for seeing Dunkirk in the digital format and in return am sending Hey Ram in digital format for him to see. Was surprised to know he had seen Paapanaasam,” wrote Haasan on Twitter.
Indian filmmaker and archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, founder of the Film Heritage Foundation (FHF), is hosting Nolan at a three-day event 'Reframing the Future of Film' here from March 30 to April 1. They will be joined by celebrated visual artist Tacita Dean to also talk about preserving on film, and the necessity of determining new archival and exhibition standards that secure a film's future.
