Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor turns a year older on 6 March. The Dhadak actor is busy shooting for her yet untitled biopic on Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena in Lucknow. The actor drove to Varanasi for a day to perform Ganga aarthi and also visit Kashi Vishwanath temple.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Janhvi wanted to visit Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh but could not go this time. “I wanted to visit Tirupati (in Andhra Pradesh) again, mom (Sridevi) used to climb up to the temple every year for her birthday,” said Janhvi Kapoor. She said might visit Tirupati after a week.
Janhvi will essay the role of the Indian Air Force pilot Saxena, who played an important role during the Kargil War in 1999. The actor says she’s blessed to work with the team and wants to make her parents proud with her work.
Actor Pankaj Tripathi has also joined Janhvi for the biopic to play her on-screen father. When asked about working with her, he said Janhvi Kapoor is a sincere actor.
"I liked the character very much. I am having a lot of fun shooting. Janhvi is a very sincere actress. She respects me a lot and I too, respect her for the sincerity and commitment towards her work," Pankaj said in a statement.
The biopic is being helmed by Sharan Sharma.
"Sharan is a very talented director, well versed with his craft. It's an opportunity to work under Dharma Productions," said the Stree actor.
