After the announcement by the Indian government of the decision to revoke Article 370, there have been a number of opinions and speculations on Twitter. Now,actor Huma Qureshi has requested everyone to be sensitive and refrain from making irresponsible comments on the volatile situation at this hour.
She took to Twitter to write, “ Every1 with opinions on #Kashmir. I humbly say this-you have no idea of the life, bloodshed & loss of Kashmiris (Pandits & Muslims) Pls refrain from irresponsible commentary. There are people - women,children,old & sick people.Put urself in their shoes at this very moment & be sensitive.”
Huma Qureshi’s family resides in the Valley and earlier too, she had urged everyone to be kind and empathetic.
Sanjay Suri also echoed her words and said, “An appeal to all. Many many have lost their lives & suffered. I request one and all to show love , care, grace, respect, dignity to one and all. Frivolous msgs and talks will not help !”
Earlier, many Bollywood celebrities have taken to Twitter to express their opinion about the revocation of the Article. Anupam Kher said he woke up to the best news of his life about Kashmir.
Richa Chadha and Vikrant Massey also spoke up on the issue. “ Whatever happens in politics, let there be no bloodshed, let sense prevail. We’re one, all Indians. We are a peaceful people. We believe in compassion, not coercion. Be kind peeps! Jai Hind”, wrote Richa.
