TV actor and model Gehana Vasisth who is currently shooting ALT Balaji’s TV series ‘Gandii Baat’ has been put on ventilator support after she fell unconscious after a long shoot schedule. She has been admitted to Raksha Hospital in Mumbai's Malad area. Doctors suggest that she suffered an unfortunate cardiac arrest which might have happened due to an adverse reaction between prescription drugs and some energy drinks she consumed, a report in India Today said.
Doctors said that she was brought in with a really low pulse and a low blood pressure. Her condition was extremely critical, as she has difficulty breathing and has been put on oxygen support.
She also has diabetes with high sugar and the energy drinks she consumed must have had a reaction with the prescription drugs she usually took, according to the report. After a 48 hour shoot schedule, she was short on proper nutrition intake. The hospital has done a few tests on her and the doctors waiting for the results, while she stays in the Intensive Care Unit.
Born in Chhatisgarh, Gehana’s real name is Vandana Tewari and is 31 years old. She has done over 70 advertisements and was crowned Miss Asia Bikini via an online contest. She made her debut in films through the film Filmi Duniya and went on to do minor roles in Telugu films.
