As Sanju is keeping audiences enthralled nationwide with details of Sanjay Dutt’s controversial life, the film is receiving criticism for white-washing Dutt’s life. An old clip is now going viral, where Shah Rukh Khan can be seen testifying, that Sanjay Dutt’s heart is, indeed, made of gold. This was during SRK’s stint at Kaun Banega Crorepati during the release of Munnabhai MBBS.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor says he views competition as a healthy and beneficial exercise, amid the buzz that the upcoming award season will be a face-off between his and Ranveer Singh's performances.

The year began with Ranveer garnering critical acclaim for his portrayal of Sultan Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, that released on January 25.

Ranbir, who has been through a dull box office phase in the last couple of years, bounced back last Friday as his latest Sanju, a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, has registered a strong opening at the ticket window.

The Rajkumar Hirani-directed film has fetched immense praise for Ranbir slipping into the role of Dutt effortlessly.

4. ‘Satya’ Was Life Changing for Anurag Kashyap, Manoj Bajpayee

Ram Gopal Varma's 'Satya', which on Tuesday clocked two decades since its release, was a life-changing experience for Anurag Kashyap -- who co-wrote it with Saurabh Shukla -- and for actor Manoj Bajpayee, who played the memorable Bhiku Mhatre in it.

The movie is considered cult in Indian cinema, where realistic depiction of the Indian underworld was not seen often. In a lengthy social media post, Varma had, on the eve of the movie's 20th anniversary, shared the genesis of the project and the "actual truth" about what went behind the making of the "great film".

5. ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ Gets a New Release Date

Dharmendra-Sunny Deol-Bobby Deol-starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se has a new release date. The film was earlier supposed to release on 15 August alongside Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate. It will now release on 31 August.
