Ekta Kapoor is synonymous with many telly soaps. The producer has brought Shah Rukh Khan on board to launch her reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, a tale of star-crossed lovers, Prerna and Anurag. Remember Komolika?
Ekta is banking on your nostalgia with the added plus of Shah Rukh narrating the series. She shared a new promo for the show on Instagram, saying “ Launching big...On tv ...too much promotion...! Never usually pans out...leads to over expectations! But with grit n hard work of a whole team n without expecting n predicting the outcome we hope ppl accept #kasautiizindagiikay ! This new teaser continues to tease the identity of the actor playing Komolika. We’ll find out soon enough!
In a promo released earlier, SRK introduces the new-age couple, played by Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes.
The promo of the reboot retains the original background score and will certainly connect with fans of the popular show. The 2000’s show is making its way back to TV after a gap of a decade. Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan who played Prerna Sharma and Anurag Basu are passing on the baton to Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan.
SRK had coincidentally begun his journey to celluloid with the television show, Fauji.
The new Kasautii Zindagii Kay is all set to start from 25 September onwards.
