Recently Rajkummar Rao got a chance to dance to the iconic hit song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ with none other than Shah Rukh Khan and the Stree actor called it a “dream come true.”
Shah Rukh and Rajkummar performed on the song together at the 2019 Filmfare Awards. While the awards show is yet to air on TV, Rajkummar shared a clip of their performance on Twitter saying, “I got the opportunity to perform with my idol @iamsrk. I love you sir. One must believe and work hard towards their dreams because they do come true.” Take a look.
‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ is originally from the 1998 SRK-starrer Dil Se and the song also featured Malaika Arora. It was composed by AR Rahman with lyrics by Gulzar and sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi.
Rajkummar recreated the video by dancing on top of a train set in his performance.
Shah Rukh responded to Rajkummar’s tweet, saying, “No no yaar. The fun was all mine. You were so cool to work with & so talented.”
Rajkummar has Mental Hai Kya with Kangana Ranaut and Made in China with Mouni Roy in the pipeline. Shah Rukh was last seen in Zero alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
