Disha Patani often shares videos of herself dancing on social media, and if you’re wondering how she pulls off such nimble moves, it’s because of a rigorous routine of gymnastics and mixed martial arts (MMA). While the Baaghi 2 actor has been working hard to hone her skills, she has also had to deal with injuries.
In a recent interview, Disha recalled one of the most serious injuries she sustained. While training on concrete terrace floors, she fell on her head and lost her memory. "I lost six months of my life because I couldn't remember anything," she told mid-day. Most recently, she hurt her knees while attempting to pull off a front salto (a kind of body flip) for Salman Khan-starrer Bharat.
Speaking about her fitness routine, Disha said that she took up gymnastics three years ago. When she is not shooting, she alternates between gymnastics and MMA. "MMA is relatively easier. But for gymnastics, you have to be both, consistent and brave. It has taken me a while to reach where I am. You have to do it every day. [Only when] you break your bones and knees do you reach somewhere,” she said. The actor also complements this routine with 60-90 minutes of weight training six days a week.
