If you have been mulling about whether Deepika Padukone would be changing her surname after her marriage to to Ranveer Singh, put your mind at rest. Deepika has cleared the air about it herself.
When quizzed about it at a recent interview, Deepika said:
After that interview, I realized that it’s a conversation Ranveer and I’ve never even had. So, we haven’t been like, ‘oh, do you think you should change your surname?’... It has never crossed either of our minds. When I was asked about it, I was like, ‘oh, we haven’t even thought about it.”Deepika Padukone

Deepika also emphasised that she has worked very hard to build her name and identity, and wouldn’t want to change it for anything. She added: “I’ve worked extremely hard to create my own identity and so has he. So, my question is, ‘why would he have to do that?'”
