Ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have come together to share a screen again - but this time, for an Asian Paints ad!
In the video, Ranbir and Deepika seem to be friends, sharing hearty banter and a carefree relationship. Ranbir calls Deepika to ask her for her advice on repainting his house. Deepika, as per the brand, tells Ranbir to stick by Asian Paints.
In the next shot, she visits his house herself and compliments the colours. She also takes a dig at Ranbir, saying that he’s the only ‘bacteria’ that the painters left behind in the house.
Ahead of the ad, Deepika even shared a boomerang video of Ranbir and her from its shoot, as her Instagram story, with the caption #bts.
Ranbir and Deepika may have broken up in 2009, but they have claimed to remain on good terms ever since. The couple even came together and thrilled fans with their chemistry for Ayan Mukherjee’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) and Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha (2015).
While Deepika is working on Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Chhapaak, Ranbir is focusing on Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra and Yashraj Films’ Shamshera.
