Priyanka Chopra is back in Mumbai for the promotions of The Sky is Pink, with Farhan Akhtar, Shonali Bose and the entire team. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror in an interview, the actor spoke about her relationship with Salman Khan after Bharat, as Salman had often taken jibes at her for leaving the film.

After Priyanka exited Bharat, there was news of Salman being upset at her decision. In the interview, Priyanka said that had there been a reaction from her end, it’d be out by now.

“If there was a reaction required you’d have had it by now. Salman is amazing. I’ve always admired him. He came for Nick and my reception and we even went to his house. I’m really close to his sister too. So, there’s never an issue with him.”

During the promotions of Bharat, Salman Khan had often joked about Priyanka exiting the film just few days before the shoot. At a promotional event with Katrina Kaif, he said, “Thank you, Priyanka! I will always be thankful to her. Bharat was about to go on the floors and just five days before the shooting, Priyanka says that she wouldn’t be able to work in the film. Now, if Priyanka hadn’t left Bharat, how could we have brought Katrina on board,” he had said.

“Over Bharat, she chose USA in the ‘nick’ of time. She has worked all her life so hard and when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped the film and got married. Hats off! Usually people leave the husbands for this,”

Priyanka was supposed to star in Bharat with Salman, but had to leave suddenly due to her wedding dates with singer Nick Jonas. The film’s director, Ali Abbas Zafar had announced her departure through a tweet.
