Arzoo Govitrikar has reportedly filed a complaint at Worli Police Station, accusing her husband, Siddharth Sabharwal of assaulting her.
Arzoo, who is the sister of model and actor Aditi Govitrikar, has also provided the police with CCTV footage and has said that she has been suffering mental and physical abuse for years.
Arzoo Govitrikar got married to businessman Siddharth Sabaharwal in March 2010.
In her complaint filed on 22 January, Arzoo accused her husband of “dragging her inside the bathroom around 4 am and hitting her viciously” and repeatedly slapping her under the influence of alcohol.
On 5 March, Arzoo along with her sister, Aditi Govitrikar and friend Ashish Chaudhary went to Worli Police station, alleging that Siddharth had taken custody of their five-year-old son.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Siddharth said that Arzoo was rehearsing a scene and “asked him to slap her”.
