Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on 26 August. The Accidental Prime Minister actor took to Instagram to mark the occasion with a picture from the couple’s wedding day and a special note for his wife that read, “Dearest Kirron!!! Happy 34th wedding anniversary!! Bahut lamba waqt zindagi ka saath mei tay kiya hai humne. 34 saal guzar gaye lekin lagta hai Jaise kal ki he baat hai. (We have spent a lot of our lives together. 34 years have gone by, but it feels like only yesterday.) I have loved the lived quality of our lives together.”
Anupam Kher was last seen in One Day: Justice Delivered which released on 5 July. Directed by Ashok Nanda, the thriller also stars Esha Gupta and Kumud Mishra. He is currently shooting for the second season of US medical drama New Amsterdam, in which he plays a doctor. The series is inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in the country and follows the brilliant and charming doctor Max Goodwin, the institution's newest medical director who sets out to take on the bureaucratic system that has governed the hospital.
