Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia tied the knot in May this year in a small ceremony at a gurudwara in Delhi, and announced their pregnancy in August after much speculation. Angad, in an interview with Pinkvilla, spoke about the negativity around her pregnancy.
“If a situation like this arises in the West, we want to read about it and we are like 'oh so good' and if something happens here, we have to criticise it. I think it's the hypocrisy of society and that's not going to change,” he said.
Talking about fatherhood, Angad said, “Winning an award or signing of the film can never be compared to the feeling of holding a new-born in your arms. I feel that Mehr is my biggest achievement. My everything revolves around her and she has brought me a lot of luck. I have managed to sign four projects.”
The Soorma actor had earlier revealed how he broke the news to their parents and how they reacted to it during the episode.
On Neha Dhupia’s radio chat show #NoFilterNeha, Angad spoke very candidly about exes, their wedding and pregnancy. Neha shared a clip of the interaction on Instagram.
In the clip, Neha asks Angad, “Was it hard to convince your parents and in-laws about the wedding?” To which he replies,“I don’t think they were really prepared to hear the news that you were expecting. I said, ‘You know what? We’re gonna have a baby.’ There was silence. Bahut jhaad padi (they scolded me a lot). ”
The parents had an adorable photo shoot from which Neha shared a few pictures.
