Big B Mourns Sridevi With a Kaifi Azmi “Sher”

Amitabh Bachchan worked with Sridevi in several films including ‘Khuda Gawah’.

Amitabh Bachchan has taken to social media to mourn the legendary Sridevi, who passed away on 24th February. Big B shared a sher by Kaifi Azmi, which poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar narrated to him at Sridevi’s funeral. The beautiful couplet mourns a loved one’s unexpected passing.

Big B had posted a cryptic tweet on 25th February early morning before the news of Sridevi’s passing broke, and have since, shared a series of tweets that reflect his sadness.

Sridevi, who Bachchan worked with in several films including Khuda Gawah, passed away at the age of 54 in Dubai from “accidental drowning”.
