Actor Amitabh Bachchan is perhaps one of the most active members of the film industry on social media. On early Sunday morning, 12.54 am to be precise (when does Mr Bachchan sleep?), Big B tweeted that Abhishek Bachchan is his “dearest friend”. The superstar not only put down an emotional message but also tweeted out pictures of the father and son duo together.
"When he not just wears your shoes, but also shares the same number of chairs to sit on, then he is not just a son but your dearest friend," is what Amitabh Bachchan shared with his fans and followers on Twitter.
Both Amitabh and Abhishek are seen in the pictures sitting on four stacked up plastic chairs deep in conversation with each other. The location of the photograph is the sets of Amitabh Bachchan’s Tamil film, Uyarndha Manithan.
Abhishek too has never shied away from complimenting or expressing his affection towards his father on social media. Recently, as Bachchan completed 50 years in the film industry, Bachchan junior posted an sentimental message on social media along with a picture that titled his father as an “icon”.
“To me, he's so much more. My father, best friend, guide, best critic, greatest support, idol..... HERO!
50 years today he started his journey in films. Even today, his passion and love for his craft and work is the same as I'm sure it was on the first day.
Dearest Pa, today we celebrate you, your talent, your passion, your brilliance and your immense influence.
