The celebrity wedding season has been on since last year and it doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon. After one Ambani wedding stealing the show, we now have other one to look forward to as Akash Ambani gets ready to marry Shloka Mehta. After the pre-wedding celebration last week in Switzerland, the party has now come home, to the Ambani residence in Mumbai.
On Wednesday night, Antilia was glowing in anticipation of the sangeet and puja ceremony. Of course, the guest list was huge. To make the occasion even more special, singer Shreya Ghoshal gave a special performance for the attendees of the celebration.
Videos of the musical evening have since flooded social media and giving us all a vicarious experience of what the evening looked like. Rajasthani folk singer Swaroop Khan too was a part of the celebration.
#AkuStoleTheShlo (as it’s officially called) is all about glitz and glamour with a score of Bollywood celebrities attending the pre-wedding bash at St. Moritz in Switzerland last week. American DJ trio The Chainsmokers and Coldplay were among those who performed at the St. Moritz venue.
A typical European fantasy with a very Winter Wonderland-esque theme, the evening was a red carpet-like experience of its own. From Bollywood’s evergreen couple Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan to Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, everyone at the Ambani pre-celebration bash were decked out and how.

The wedding will take place over three days from 9-10 March 2018 at multiple venues across Mumbai. And just like last time, we expect an ensemble of Bollywood performers.
