Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been in the news ever since they started working together on fantasy trilogy Brahmastra. The couple also made their relationship official last year though they are reticent to speak about it in public.

However, in a recent interview, Alia opened up about Ranbir saying that she fell for him the first time she met him. “He’s a supremely simple person. He’s such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, as everything. He’s way better a person than I am,” she told Times of India.

She also said that as a couple, they seem to have found their stride. While they spend time together, they also happily lead separate lives. “It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now,” she said.

Alia and Ranbir recently flew to the US to spend time with the latter’s father Rishi Kapoor, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Neetu Kapoor recently posted a picture of the Kapoors posing together with Aishwarya, Aaradhaya and Abhishek Bachchan.

In June, Alia and Ranbir were spotted shooting for Brahmastra on location at Varanasi. The fantasy film is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. While details from the film have been kept under wraps, a few photos from the sets were leaked online.

The couple also paid a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Ranbir was seen dressed in white with a rudraksh mala and chandan tika smeared on his forehead and Alia was in a lemon yellow salwar kameez.

Brahmastra is set to release in summer 2020.
