A fan walked over 900 kms to meet Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, whom he calls his idol. The National Award-winning actor gladly indulged the fan before urging his followers “not to do these things and focus on their time and energy.”
Akshay on Sunday, 1 September, shared a photograph and a video of himself with the fan, Parbat, who walked from Dwarka to Mumbai just to have a glimpse of his favourite star.
In a video, Akshay is seen speaking to Parbat and questioning him about his journey. Parbat says he wanted to do the walk to prove that he was fit and be an example to young people. He also claims that he has been a fan of Akshay’s since childhood. Akshay commends him but warns him not to pull such a stunt again, since it could be dangerous. He also invites Parbat in for food.
“Met Parbat today, he walked over 900 kms all the way from Dwarka. He planned it in a way to reach Mumbai in 18 days to catch me here on a Sunday. If our youth use this kind of planning and determination to achieve their goals, then there’s no stopping us! #SundayMotivation,” Akshay wrote on Twitter along with the video.

Akshay switched to serious mode in the next tweet, writing, “It’s always great to meet you all and I’m grateful for all the love you give me but a request to please not do these things...focus your time, energy and resources in bettering your life, that’ll make me the happiest. Wishing Parbat all the very best”
Akshay can currently be seen on the big screen in Mission Mangal. He is shooting for Rohit Shetty directed Sooryavanshi which releases next year.
